Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of discharge performance and reduce a friction loss by properly adjusting the fluid pressure supplied to back pressure chambers in each of suction sections and discharge sections.SOLUTION: In an oil pump 20 formed as a vane pump, discharge side back pressure ports (first discharge side back pressure ports 27a, 27b), which communicate with back pressure chambers RB in closing sections (first closing section, second closing section) and discharge sections (first discharge section, second discharge section), are connected to an oil passage L2 for a line pressure, and suction side back pressure ports (first suction side back pressure ports 26a, 26b), which communicate with the back pressure chambers RB in suction sections (first suction section, second suction section), are connected to an oil passage L4 for a modulator pressure. In the other words, the line pressure PL discharged from discharge ports 25a, 25b is supplied to the back pressure chambers RB in the discharge sections and the closing sections, and the modulator pressure Pmod, which is generated by reducing the line pressure PL with a modulator valve, is supplied to the back pressure chambers RB in the suction sections.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】吸入区間および吐出区間のそれぞれにおいて、背圧室に供給する流体圧を適切に調整して、吐出性能の低下を抑制すると共にフリクションロスを低減する。【解決手段】ベーンポンプとして構成されるオイルポンプ20に、閉じ込み区間(第1閉じ込み区間,第2閉じ込み区間)および吐出区間(第1吐出区間,第2吐出区間)において背圧室RBと連通する吐出側背圧ポート(第1吐出側背圧ポート27a,27b)を、ライン圧用油路L2に接続し、吸入区間(第1吸入区間,第2吸入区間)において背圧室RBと連通する吸入側背圧ポート(第1吐出側背圧ポート26a,26b)を、モジュレータ圧用油路L4に接続する。即ち、吐出区間および閉じ込み区間の背圧室RBには吐出ポート25a,25bから吐出されたライン圧PLを供給し、吸入区間の背圧室RBにはモジュレータバルブでライン圧PLを減圧したモジュレータ圧Pmodを供給する。【選択図】図2
