PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily multiplex an optical receiver in a safety apparatus for monitoring a monitoring area with a beam of light.SOLUTION: A safety apparatus 1 for monitoring a specified monitoring region 2 with a beam of light comprises: a projector 3; a beam splitter 4; plural optical receivers 5 (5a, 5b); and a control part 6. The projector 3 emits light. The beam splitter 4 divides a beam of light L, which has been emitted from the projector 3 and has passed the monitoring region 2, into plural beams of light La, Lb. The optical receiver 5 is used for detecting plural beams of light La, Lb divided by the beam splitter. Each of the plural optical receivers 5a, 5b is provided corresponding to each beam of light La, Lb divided by the beam splitter 4. Thus, the beam of light L emitted from the projector 3 is divided into the plural beams of light La, Lb by the beam splitter 4 after passing the monitoring region 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】監視領域を光線で監視する安全装置において、受光器を容易に多重化する。【解決手段】安全装置１は、所定の監視領域２を光線で監視する装置であり、投光器３と、ビームスプリッタ４と、複数の受光器５（５ａ、５ｂ）と、制御部６とを備える。投光器３は、光を出射する。ビームスプリッタ４は、投光器３から出射されて監視領域２を通過した光線Ｌを複数の光線Ｌａ、Ｌｂに分ける。受光器５は、ビームスプリッタで分けられた複数の光線Ｌａ、Ｌｂを検知するためのものである。複数の受光器５ａ、５ｂの各々は、ビームスプリッタ４で分けられた各々の光線Ｌａ、Ｌｂに対応して設けられる。これにより、投光器３から出射された光線Ｌは、監視領域２を通過後にビームスプリッタ４によって複数の光線Ｌａ、Ｌｂに分けられる。【選択図】図１
