PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking management system which controls a plurality of vehicles and efficiently manages a large scale parking lot, and to provide its control method.SOLUTION: A parking management system for managing parking of vehicles comprises: a guiding system which automatically guides a vehicle from a get-in/get-out space to a predefined parking space; a control system which controls the guiding system; and a management system which receives a parking reservation of a vehicle from a terminal system and transmits the reservation information and identification information of the vehicle to the control system. After the vehicle reaches the get-in/get-out space and an occupant gets out, the control system guides the vehicle to the predefined parking space by means of the guiding system and parks it there on the basis of the reservation information and the identification information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】複数の車両を制御し効率的に大規模な駐車場を管理する駐車管理システム及びその制御方法を提案する。【解決手段】車両の駐車を管理する駐車管理システムは、車両を乗降スペースから所定の駐車スペースまで自動誘導する誘導システムと、誘導システムを制御する制御システムと、端末システムから車両の駐車予約を受け付け、予約情報と、車両の識別情報とを制御システムに伝達する管理システムとを備え、制御システムは、予約情報と、識別情報とに基づいて、車両が乗降スペースに到達して乗員が降車した後、誘導システムによって所定の駐車スペースまで車両を誘導させて駐車させるようにした。【選択図】図１
