PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container whose recyclability can be enhanced, and a decomposition method therefor.SOLUTION: A gable top type paper container 1 is constituted of a blank plate 100 in which a paper base material layer 62, a release layer 79 and a barrier layer 72b are laminated. The paper container comprises: a cylindrical shank 10 having plural peripheral face plates 11 to 14 and a paste margin piece 15 which is bonded to the peripheral face plate 11; an inclined roof part 30 which has plural roof peripheral face plates 31 to 34 continuously provided above the peripheral face plates 11 to 14 and a paste margin piece 35 bonded to the roof peripheral face plate 31, and closes a top surface of the shank 10; a bottom surface part 20 which closes a bottom face of the shank 10; a folding part 35a in which the paste margin piece 35 is folded in a circumferential direction and is bonded to the roof peripheral face plate 31; a peeling start part 31e comprising a notch or a cut which is provided at an upper end part of the roof peripheral face plate 31 bonded to the folding part 35a as to face the folding part 35a; and an annular cutting-plane line 51 which is provided on a bottom of the shank 10, and cuts at least the paper base material layer 62 on an outer surface side with respect to the barrier layer 72b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】リサイクル性を向上できる紙容器及びその解体方法を提供する。【解決手段】紙基材層６２、剥離層７９及びバリア層７２ｂを積層したブランク板１００から構成されるゲーベルトップ型の紙容器１において、複数の周面板１１〜１４と周面板１１に接着される糊代片１５とを有した筒状の胴部１０と、周面板１１〜１４の上方に連設される複数の天井周面板３１〜３４と天井周面板３１に接着される糊代片３５とを有して胴部１０の天面を塞ぐ傾斜屋根部３０と、胴部１０の底面を塞ぐ底面部２０と、糊代片３５を周方向に折り返して天井周面板３１に接着される折返し部３５ａと、折返し部３５ａに接着される天井周面板３１の上端部に折返し部３５ａに面して設けられた切り欠きまたは切り込みから成る剥離開始部３１ｅと、胴部１０の底部に配してバリア層７２ｂよりも外面側で少なくとも紙基材層６２を切り込む環状の切断線５１とを備えた。【選択図】図１
