Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope system capable of appropriately maintaining brightness of a subject image.SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic endoscope system equipped with an ultrasonic endoscope 100 with a probe 121 and an image pickup device 149 disposed at the tip, and a processor 220, a signal processing pre-stage part 148 detects a region of a probe image 410 in a pixel signal for one field/frame output from the image pickup device 149 (an output image) by edge detection. A dimming signal correction circuit 152 causes an output level of the pixel signal in the probe image 410 to be an output average value of a pixel signal output level of an observation part 420 other than the probe image. The corrected pixel signal for one field/frame is output to the processor 220 as a dimming signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】被写体像の明るさを適切に維持できる超音波内視鏡システムを提供する。【解決手段】プローブ121および撮像素子149を先端部に設けた超音波内視鏡100と、プロセッサ220とを備えた超音波内視鏡システムにおいて、信号処理前段部148は、撮像素子149から出力される1フィールド/フレーム分の画素信号(出力画像)の中で、プローブ像410の領域をエッジ検出によって検出する。そして、調光信号補正回路152は、プローブ像410内の画素信号の出力レベルを、プローブ像以外の観察部分420の画素信号出力レベルの出力平均値にする。補正された1フィールド/フレーム分の画素信号は、調光信号としてプロセッサ220へ出力する。【選択図】図3
