Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating device allowing highly precise detection of whether an object to be heated is placed on a top plate and lowering the manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: An induction heating device includes a top plate 13, a plurality of heating coils 11, an inverter, a control unit, an operation display unit 12, and a detection unit for an object to be heated. The control unit controls the inverter to supply a detection current prior to receiving an operation command signal for indicating a start of a heating operation. The detection unit for the object to be heated detects the presence of the object to be heated from an input current and/or an output voltage in an electrically conductive path for electric power transmission from a power source to the heating coils, during a detection time period when the detection current is supplied to the heating coils. The control unit controls the inverter to decrease the number of times for supplying the detection current to the heating coils at which the object to be heated has been detected, as compared with heating coils where the object to be heated has not been detected, until the object to be heated is not detected after the object to be detected has been detected by the detection unit for the object to be heated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】被加熱物がトッププレートの上に載置されたか否かを精度高く検出可能であり、且つ製造コストを低くする誘導加熱装置を提供する。【解決手段】誘導加熱装置は、トッププレート13と、複数の加熱コイル11と、インバータと、制御部と、操作表示部12と、被加熱物検出部と、を備え、制御部は、加熱動作の開始を指示する動作指令の信号を受けるより前に検出電流を供給するようにインバータを制御し、被加熱物検出部は、検出電流が加熱コイルに供給されている検出期間に、電源から加熱コイルまでの電力伝送の通電経路における入力電流及び/又は出力電圧から、被加熱物の有無を検出する誘導加熱装置であって、制御部は、被加熱物検出部により被加熱物が検出された後、被加熱物が検出されなくなるまで、被加熱物が検出された加熱コイルに、検出電流を供給する回数を被加熱物が検出されていない加熱コイルと比べて少なくするようにインバータを制御する。【選択図】図1
