Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access point which can be found by a wireless terminal with relatively small energy consumption and relatively short standby time.SOLUTION: An access point has a wireless LAN communication means communicating with a wireless terminal by using a predetermined usage channel in a first frequency band, time difference calculation means for calculating time difference information from current time until next time transmission time of a beacon in the usage channel, pointer signal generation means for generating a pointer signal including the usage channel information in the first frequency band and a network identifier, and time difference information, and pointer signal communication means for transmitting the pointer signal to the wireless terminal. After receiving the pointer signal, the wireless terminal waits for the beacon of usage channel at the timing when the time of time difference information passes, and the timing when the time difference passes after receiving the pointer signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】比較的小さい消費エネルギー量で且つ比較的短い待受時間となるべく、無線端末がアクセスポイントを発見することができるアクセスポイント等を提供する。【解決手段】アクセスポイントは、第1の周波数帯域における所定の使用チャネルを用いて、無線端末と通信する無線LAN通信手段と、現時刻から、使用チャネルにおける次回のビーコンの送信時刻までの時間差情報を算出する時間差算出手段と、第1の周波数帯域における使用チャネル情報及びネットワーク識別子と、時間差情報とを含むポインタ信号を生成するポインタ信号生成手段と、ポインタ信号を、無線端末へ送信するポインタ信号通信手段とを有する。無線端末は、ポインタ信号の受信後、時間差情報の時間が経過するタイミングで、当該ポインタ信号の受信後その時間差が経過するタイミングで、当該使用チャネルのビーコンを待ち受ける。【選択図】図4 |
