PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of changing inner pressure of a side airbag in accordance with a collision body at the time of lateral collision of the collision body with a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A side airbag device 20 includes an inflator 24, a side airbag 22 and a vent tube 28. The inflator 24 is provided in a seat back 16 and generates gas at the time of lateral collision. The side airbag 22 has a vent hole 26 formed above the inflator 24, and is stored in a side portion on the outer side in the seat width direction of the seat back 16. While inflated and deployed by receiving supply of the gas generated by the inflator 24, the side airbag 22 is overlapped with an occupant P in the vehicle side view. The vent tube 28 is formed to have a cylindrical shape with opened both ends, is protruded from a peripheral edge portion of the vent hole 26 to the outer side of the side airbag 22, and is disposed between the side airbag 22 and a side door 13 when the side airbag 22 is inflated and deployed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車体への衝突体の側面衝突時において、衝突体に応じてサイドエアバッグの内圧を変えることができるサイドエアバッグ装置を得る。【解決手段】サイドエアバッグ装置２０は、インフレータ２４、サイドエアバッグ２２及びベントチューブ２８を有する。インフレータ２４は、シートバック１６に設けられ側面衝突時にガスを発生する。サイドエアバッグ２２は、インフレータ２４よりも上側にベントホール２６が形成され、シートバック１６のシート幅方向外側の側部内に格納されている。また、サイドエアバッグ２２は、インフレータ２４で発生したガスの供給を受けて膨張展開した状態では車両側面視で着座乗員Ｐと重なる。ベントチューブ２８は、両端が開口された筒状に形成され、ベントホール２６の周縁部からサイドエアバッグ２２の外側へ突出され、サイドエアバッグ２２の膨張展開時にサイドエアバッグ２２とサイドドア１３との間に配置される。【選択図】図１
