Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal diaphragm which is difficult to be effected by an unnecessary vibration mode other than a thickness-shear vibration without preventing reduction of the size of the crystal diaphragm.SOLUTION: A crystal diaphragm 1 is a thickness-shear vibration mode. In the crystal diaphragm, a first main surface 11 and a second main surface 12 are provided in front and back surfaces, and a first ridge 15 and a second ridge 16 which oppositely connect a first side surface 13 and a second side surface 14 constructed by an axial symmetry arc to the side surface and the first side surface and the second side surface. In the first and second main surfaces of the crystal diaphragm, a first excitation electrode 2 and a second excitation electrode 3 which are faced each other and extraction electrodes 4 and 5 extending the excitation electrode to an end part of the main surfaces of the crystal diaphragm are formed.
