Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of suppressing a collision sound which is emitted by a swing gear accompanying switching between monochrome and color modes, without hindering a reduction in size and an increase in speed of an image formation device.SOLUTION: A swing gear (810) changes its posture to a first position during the forward rotation of a drive motor (700) and to a second position during the inverse rotation. A first transmission system transmits torque from the swing gear at the first position and a second transmission system transmits torque from the swing gear at the second position. A first development roller (28K) is rotated by the torque from either of the transmission systems, and attaches a monochrome toner to a photoreceptor (21K). A second development roller is rotated by the torque from the first transmission system, and attaches toners in three colors to different photoreceptors (21Y, 21M, 21C). A control part (286), at switching between color and monochrome modes, makes a drive motor perform precursor rotation. The drive motor, at the precursor rotation, decelerates after acceleration to a rotational speed lower than normal. 【課題】画像形成装置の小型化と高速化とを妨げることなくモノクロ/カラー間でのモード切り換えに伴い揺動ギアが発する衝突音を抑制可能な現像装置を提供する。【解決手段】揺動ギア(810)は駆動モーター(700)の正転では第1位置へ、逆転では第2位置へ姿勢を変える。第1伝達系統は第1位置の揺動ギアから、第2伝達系統は第2位置の揺動ギアからトルクを伝達する。第1現像ローラー(28K)はいずれの伝達系統からのトルクでも回転し、単色のトナーを感光体(21K)に付着させる。第2現像ローラーは第1伝達系統からのトルクで回転し、3色のトナーを異なる感光体(21Y、21M、21C)に付着させる。制御部(286)はカラー/モノクロ間でのモード切り換え時、駆動モーターに前駆回転をさせる。前駆回転では駆動モーターは、通常よりも低い回転数まで加速した後に減速する。この減速中に揺動ギアは姿勢変化を完了する。【選択図】図6 |
