Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device using a novel compound that is a strong n-type doping material; and a method of manufacturing the light-emitting device.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes a positive pole, a luminous layer, an electron transport layer, and a negative pole. The electron transport layer contains at least one kind of electron transport materials whose LUMO level is -3.0 eV or more, and at least one kind of dopant materials selected from the group consisting of heterocyclic compounds whose SOMO level is from -2.2 to -1.5 eV and derivatives thereof. The LUMO level of the electron transport material is smaller than the SOMO level of the heterocyclic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
