Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielded wire for communication which has a reduced diameter while ensuring a characteristic impedance value of the required magnitude.SOLUTION: A shielded wire for communication 1 has: a twisted pair wire 10 made by twisting together a pair of insulated wires 11, 11, each comprising a conductor 12 that has a tensile strength of 400 MPa or more and an insulating coating 13 with which the periphery of the conductor 12 is coated; and a shield 20 made of an electrically conductive material for enclosing the periphery of the twisted pair wire 10.
