Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an engine capable of surely suppressing occurrence of knocking even when an ignition timing is retarded to the vicinity of the retard limit.SOLUTION: A control device of an engine (10) has a PCM (60) for setting a reference ignition timing by an ignition plug (14) according to an operating state of the engine, implementing ignition retard to suppress knocking, determining a reduction amount of target torque on the basis of the difference between the retard limit and an ignition retard amount, reducing the target torque to the determined reduction amount with a first rate of change in a case when the knocking occurs, increasing the target torque with a second rate of change smaller than the first rate of change by releasing the reduction of the target torque in a case when the knocking does not occurs under the reduction of the target torque, and setting the target air amount for outputting of the target torque to the engine, according to the operating state of the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】点火時期がリタード限界近傍まで遅角されている場合においても、ノッキングの発生を確実に抑制することができる、エンジンの制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】エンジン(10)の制御装置は、点火プラグ(14)による基準点火時期をエンジンの運転状態に応じて設定し、ノッキングを抑制するために点火リタードを行い、リタード限界と点火リタード量との差に基づき目標トルクの減少量を決定し、ノッキングが発生した場合、目標トルクを、決定された減少量だけ第1の変化率により減少させ、目標トルクを減少させている場合においてノッキングが発生していない場合、目標トルクの減少を解除して第1の変化率よりも小さい第2の変化率により目標トルクを増大させ、目標トルクをエンジンに出力させるための目標空気量を、エンジンの運転状態に応じて設定するPCM(60)を有する。【選択図】図4
