Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material for building having high spot weldability in addition to high tensile strength, low relaxation characteristics and delayed fracture resistance.SOLUTION: The invention adopts a steel material for building having a surface layer lower in hardness than a center part, tensile strength of 1500 MPa or more, a relaxation value of 10% or less at an autoclave curing condition at 180°C, delayed fracture time till fracture of 10 hours or longer when test load of 70% of tensile strength is loaded at a state with impregnating in a 20% ammonium thiocyanate solution at 50°C and hardness Vs of the surface layer of 0.50 to 0.96 times of hardness on the center part Vi.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】本件発明は、高い引張強さ、低リラクセーション特性及び耐遅れ破壊性に加えて、高いスポット溶接性を兼ね備える建築用鋼材の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】この目的を達成するため、本件発明は、中心部よりも硬さが低い表層を備えたものであって、引張強さが1500MPa以上、180℃のオートクレープ養生条件でのリラクセーション値が10%以下、50℃の20%チオシアン酸アンモニウム水溶液中に浸漬した状態で、その引張強さの70%の試験荷重を負荷した際に破断するまでの遅れ破壊時間が10時間以上であり、かつ、当該表層の硬さVsが当該中心部の硬さViの0.50倍〜0.96倍である建築用鋼材を採用する。【選択図】図6
