PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find a search object without causing personal information to leak out.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: a communication terminal 100 that identifies a search object, extracts a feature quantity of the identified search object, and transmits the extracted feature quantity to a search device 200; and the search device 200 that extracts a feature quantity of an object included in a photographic image, compares the feature quantity transmitted by the communication terminal 100 with the extracted feature quantity, and transmits the comparison result to the communication terminal 100 by using short-range wireless communication.
