PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that performs data communication via audio signal input/output terminals between an acoustic device such as an electronic apparatus and a terminal device such as a smart phone, and that enables a user to easily switch to choose sound output from a speaker, etc., or to stop sound output and process as a communication signal without special concern.SOLUTION: The terminal device transmits a communication start signal having acoustic characteristic that does not pose obstacle when outputted, using an acoustic interface at start of data communication (S401). The terminal device transmits a communication proper signal using the acoustic interface after transmitting the communication start signal (S404). On the acoustic device side, when the communication start signal is received from the acoustic interface, a communication mode is entered and sound output by a signal from the acoustic interface is stopped, and, after the transition, the communication proper signal received from the acoustic interface is analyzed and a process based on the analysis is executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】電子機器などの音響装置とスマートフォンなどの端末装置との間で、オーディオ信号入出力端子などのデータ通信を行う技術に関し、スピーカ等からの出音を実施する場合と出音を停止して通信信号として処理する場合とを、ユーザが特に意識する必要がなく簡単に切替え可能とする【解決手段】端末装置は、データ通信の開始時に、出音されても支障のない音響特性を有する通信開始信号を音響インタフェースを用いて送信する（Ｓ４０１）．端末装置は、通信開始信号の送信後に、通信本体信号を、音響インタフェースを用いて送信する（Ｓ４０４）。音響装置の側では、音響インタフェースから通信開始信号を受信した場合に、通信モードに遷移して音響インタフェースからの信号による出音を停止し、その遷移の後に、音響インタフェースから受信される通信本体信号を解釈し、その解釈に基づく処理を実行する。【選択図】図４
