PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a process cartridge in which gap forming members installed at two ends of a charging roller in the lengthwise direction and coming into contact with an image carrier hardly wear out.SOLUTION: In an image forming device, a charging roller 12a that opposes a photoreceptor drum 11 (image carrier) without contact, rollers 12c (gap forming members) so arranged as to come into contact with the photoreceptor drum 11 at both ends of the charging roller 12a and a lubricant supplier 16 that supplies lubricant to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11 are provided.
