Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal sealant for a liquid crystal dropping technique that has a high adhesive strength to an alignment film, particularly an optical alignment film, is excellent in low liquid crystal contamination property and humidity resistance, and achieves high definition, high luminance, frame width reduction, high-speed response, low-voltage driving, and long life of a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal sealant for a liquid crystal dropping technique containing (A) an epoxy compound represented by the following formula (1) and (B) a thermal radical polymerization initiator.
