PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a difference in pressure between a center part in the axial direction and the ends in the axial direction between a contact part of a heating roll that presses a fixing belt against a pressure roll and a contact part of a pad.SOLUTION: A fixing device 80 comprises: a heating roll 90 that brings a fixing belt 84 into contact with a pressure roll 88; a pad 92 that faces the heating roll 90 with a gap and separates a recording medium P from the fixing belt 84 at an exit side of a contact part between the fixing belt 84 and pressure roll 88; a pressing part 92B that is formed at a contact part of the pad 92 with the fixing belt 84 and has a crown shape where the center part in the axial direction projects toward the pressure roll 88 with respect to the ends in the axial direction; and an opposing part 92A that is formed at a portion of the pad 92 opposite to the heating roll 90 and has the center part in the axial direction depressed in a concave shape with respect to the ends in the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】定着ベルトを加圧ロールに押し付ける加熱ロールの接触部とパッドの接触部との間で軸方向中央部と軸方向端部との圧力に差が出ることを抑制する。【解決手段】定着装置８０は、定着ベルト８４を加圧ロール８８に接触させる加熱ロール９０と、加熱ロール９０と間隙をおいて対向し、定着ベルト８４と加圧ロール８８との接触部の出口側で記録媒体Ｐを定着ベルト８４から剥離するパッド９２と、パッド９２における定着ベルト８４との接触部に形成され、軸方向中央部が軸方向端部より加圧ロール８８側に突出するクラウン形状とされた押付部９２Ｂと、パッド９２における加熱ロール９０との対向部に形成され、軸方向端部よりも軸方向中央部が凹状に窪んだ湾曲部としての対向部９２Ａと、を有する。【選択図】図４
