Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always stably display a pointer even when a display range of the pointer pointing an azimuth is limited.SOLUTION: An azimuth display device comprises: display systems 36, 49, 50 and 26A for displaying a pointer 26A pointing an azimuth; a ROM 37 for storing an azimuth and a display position of the pointer 26A in association with each other; measurement systems 51, 52 and 41 for measuring a current azimuth; and a CPU 31 for acquiring a display position of the pointer 26A from the ROM 37 on the basis of the measurement result and determining the same, and if the determined display position of the pointer 26A is any end portion in an angular range, holding information indicating the side of the end portion while if a display position of the pointer 26A to be determined thereafter from the measurement result is any end portion in the angular range again, redetermining which one of the end portions in the angular range is a display position of the pointer 26A on the basis of held contents.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】方位を指す針の表示範囲が限定される場合でも、常に針を安定して表示させる。【解決手段】方位を示す指針26Aを表示する表示系36,49,50,26Aと、方位と指針26Aの表示位置とを対応付けて記憶するROM37と、現在の方位を測定する測定系51,52,41と、その測定結果に基づいて指針26Aの表示位置をROM37から取得して決定し、決定した指針26Aの表示位置が角度範囲のいずれかの端部であった場合に、その端部の側を示す情報を保持し、測定結果から次に決定する指針26Aの表示位置が再び角度範囲のいずれかの端部である場合に、保持内容に基づいて角度範囲のいずれの端部を指針26Aの表示位置とするかを再決定するCPU31とを備える。【選択図】図3
