Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically detecting yarn breakage and a spindle defect, and to provide a robot for restoring the same.SOLUTION: In a method for automatically detecting the occurrence of yarn breakage and a spindle defect, and a robot 14 for the same, there is provided a control system 2 into which an individual spindle monitoring system 1 and a transportation system 3 are incorporated, and which navigates and facilitates the movement of the robot to cope with the yarn breakage and the spindle defect upon detection by the monitoring system. In the control system 2, information related to the yarn breakage in a spindle and the spindle defect is sensed by the monitoring system and sent to the transportation system. The transportation system can carry the robot together with a weaving or knitting material traversing along the entire longitudinal direction axis of a ring spinning machine to cope with the yarn breakage and other spindle defects, so that the spindle of the ring spinning machine is quickly restored, and the formation of defective yarns due to the other spindle defects is also eliminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
