Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonitrided component having excellent bending fatigue strength and pitching strength.SOLUTION: The carbonitrided component has a core part containing, by mass%, C:0.10 to 0.30%, Si:0.01 to 1.40%, Mn:1.40 to 3.00%, P:0.030% or less, S:0.060% or less, Cr:0.01 to 0.50%, Al:0.010 to 0.100%, N:0.003 to 0.030% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Carbon concentration CP1 is 0.70 to 0.89% and nitrogen concentration is 0.10 to 0.80% in an area by a depth of 0.05 mm from a flat part. Carbon concentration CP2 in an area by a depth of 0.05 mm from an edge part is higher than the carbon concentration CP1 and 1.20% or less. Vickers hardness at a position of a depth of 0.3 mm from the flat part is HV650 or more. Particle boundary oxidation layer depth of the surface part is less than 3.0 μm.
