PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage plural kinds of articles with a simple operation.SOLUTION: An article management system comprises: plural storage parts; and an article management device for managing articles. The storage part comprises: a door opening/closing operation detection part for detecting an opening/closing operation of a door of the storage part; a reading part for reading identification information for identifying an article, from a label applied to the article stored in the storage part, corresponding to the opening operation or closing operation of the door of the storage part; and a control part for sending storage shelf information containing identification information of a label applied to the article stored in the storage part and storage part identification information for identifying the storage part.
