Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which a side reaction on the surface of a positive electrode including a lithium manganese phosphate owing to the formation of a protection coating is suppressed; a battery pack including the nonaqueous electrolyte battery; and a vehicle.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to an embodiment comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material consisting of a compound represented by the following composition formula: LiMnFeAPO(where A is at least one element selected a group consisting of Mg, Ca, Al, Ti, Zn and Zr, 0≤x≤0.3, 0≤y≤0.1). According to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analysis on the surface of the positive electrode, the ratio (I/I) of a peak intensity (I) of a P-F bond to a peak intensity (I) of a P-O bond is 0.4 to 0.8 in the positive electrode.
