Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which makes possible to suppress the reduction in capacity, and the swelling of a cell.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery according to an embodiment comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material including a titanium oxide, and has a coating covering at least a part of the surface of the negative electrode. The coating includes fluorine, and satisfies the following expression (1): 0.2≤F1/F2≤0.8 (1).
