Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting a coating for forming a substrate optimum for arranging the same under a coloring base coated film for repair for obtaining a multilayer reinforcement film which can have targeted coated film appearance even with less coating number and a repair coating method using the coating for forming the substrate selected by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a selection method of a coating, for selecting the coating which forms a substrate which is arranged under a coloring base coated film by a coloring coating for repair for repairing a damage part having a coloring base cured coated film arranged and has spectral reflectance average value with minimum absolute value of difference from average of optical reflectance of the coloring base cured coated film which is a target for repair, from a plurality of different coatings for forming substrate consisting of 3 kinds of coatings for forming substrate (A1) to (A3).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】少ない塗装回数でも、目的とする塗膜外観が得られる複層補修塗膜を得るための、補修用着色ベース塗膜の下に設けるために最適な下地形成用塗料を選定する方法、該方法により選定した下地形成用塗料を用いた補修塗装方法を提供する。【解決手段】着色ベース硬化塗膜が設けられた塗装体の損傷部を補修するための補修用着色ベース塗料による着色ベース塗膜の下に設けられる下地層を形成するための塗料を、3種の下地形成用塗料(A1)〜(A3)よりなる相異なる複数種の下地形成用塗料群の中から、前記補修対象となる着色ベース硬化塗膜の分光反射率の平均値との差の絶対値が最も小さい分光反射率平均値を有する下地層を形成する塗料を選定することを特徴とする下地形成用塗料の選定方法。【選択図】なし
