Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that suppresses damage to a torque and thrust transmission mechanism with limitation of input.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device having a configuration of model following control specifying a viscoelastic model as a normative model in a predetermined angle range in front of a rack end, comprises: a correction part composed of an FB element that calculates a target rack displacement based on an input side rack axial force and a control element part that outputs an output side rack axial force based on a position deviation of the target rack displacement and a rack displacement, and variably sets the FB element and the control element part; and an axial force calculation part that calculates the input side rack axial force from a rack axial force.
