Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiating device that can perform the positioning of a deformed light guide member with high accuracy, and that can be easily attached.SOLUTION: A light irradiating device includes a light source, a light guide member 401, and a holding member 402 for holding these. The light source is a rectangular light source or a substrate 406 where a plurality of light-emitting elements is disposed linearly in a main scanning direction. The light guide member 401 has a rectangular shape in the main scanning direction, and has an incidence surface, an emission surface, and a held surface that is pressed and fixed to, and in contact with the holding member 402, and has fixed structures at both ends in the main scanning direction outside the light guide region. The fixed structure on one end is an engagement claw structure to be engaged with the holding member 402, protrudes to penetrate through a penetration hole formed in the holding member 402 and provided with a claw part 401a at a tip.
