Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve metal glossiness of an image by enhancing orientation of a flat metal pigment when the image is formed on a film by metal color toner containing a flat metal pigment.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a developing unit that develops an image by metal color toner containing a flat metal pigment, and a developing unit that develops an image by different color toner, other than metal colors, that contains no flat metal pigment. The image forming apparatus also includes image forming means of forming a toner image on a recording medium, fixing means of fixing a toner image formed on a recording medium; and control means of controlling the image forming means and the fixing means, when a film is selected as the recording medium and a metal glossiness improvement mode of improving metal glossiness is selected, so that a toner image is formed by the metal color toner on one surface of the film and is fixed, and controlling conveyance so that the film having the toner image fixed to the surface thereof is discharged or so that the film is reversed and supplied to the image forming means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】扁平金属顔料を有する金属色トナーによりフィルムに画像を形成する場合に、扁平金属顔料の配向性を高めて、画像の金属光沢感を向上させる。【解決手段】扁平金属顔料を含む金属色トナーにより現像を行う現像器と扁平金属顔料を含まない金属色以外の他色のトナーにより現像を行う現像器とを備え、記録媒体上にトナー画像を形成する画像形成手段と、記録媒体上に形成されたトナー画像を定着する定着手段と、記録媒体としてフィルムが選択され且つ金属光沢を向上させる金属光沢向上モードが選択された場合には、フィルムの片面に前記金属色トナーによりトナー画像が形成されかつ定着されるように画像形成手段及び定着手段を制御すると共に、片面にトナー画像が定着されたフィルムが排出されるか又は表裏反転されて画像形成手段に供給されるように搬送を制御する制御手段と、を備えた画像形成装置とする。【選択図】図6 |
