Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy element inclusion measurement technique which allows for identification of the composition of a heavy element inclusion such as nuclear fuel or nuclear fuel debris.SOLUTION: A measurement device 10 comprises: a first acceptance unit 14 for accepting the incident locus of muons from a first locus detector 12 provided outside a storage container 11 that holds a heavy element inclusion; a second acceptance unit 15 for accepting emission locus from a second locus detector 13 provided facing the first locus detector 12; a scatter angle calculation unit 17 for calculating the scatter angle and scatter position of muons on the basis of the incident locus of muons and the emission locus; a scatter distribution measurement unit 18 for collecting scatter angles whose scatter positions belong to a measurement area 22 and measuring the counting distribution of scatter angles in this measurement area 22; a predicted scatter distribution preservation unit 19 for preserving, for each of expected substances, the predicted scatter distribution of scatter angles predicted in the measurement area 22; and a composition identification unit 20 for identifying the composition of the heavy element inclusion on the basis of the counting distribution that is measured and the predicted counting distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】核燃料や核燃料デブリなどの重元素含有物の組成を特定できる重元素含有物の測定技術を提供する。【解決手段】測定装置10は、重元素含有物を保持する収納容器11に外設された第1軌跡検出器12からミュオンの入射軌跡を受け付ける第1受付部14と、第1軌跡検出器12に対向して設けられた第2軌跡検出器13から出射軌跡を受け付ける第2受付部15と、ミュオンの入射軌跡及び出射軌跡に基づいてミュオンの散乱角及び散乱位置を計算する散乱角計算部17と、散乱位置が測定領域22に属する散乱角を収集して、この測定領域22における散乱角の計数分布を測定する散乱分布測定部18と、測定領域22において予想される散乱角の予想計数分布を、想定される各物質について保存する予想散乱分布保存部19と、測定された前記計数分布と前記予想計数分布に基づいて前記重元素含有物の組成を特定する組成特定部20と、を備える。【選択図】 図1
