Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an engine capable of suppressing deterioration of detection accuracy of a temperature of cooling water immediately after it passes through the engine, even if a thermostat and an on-off valve are in the closed state.SOLUTION: A cooling device for an engine includes: a first path in which cooling water is circulated from a water pump to the engine, a radiator and a thermostat in this order; a second path in which cooling water is circulated from the water pump to the engine, an on-off valve, a heater core and the thermostat in this order and which is merged with part of the first path in the engine and branched from the first path in the engine; and a water temperature sensor having a temperature sensing part for detecting a temperature of the cooling water. The second path includes: a heater core path communicated with the heater core from the engine; a return path communicated with the thermostat from the heater core; and a bypass path communicating the heater core path with the return path and bypassing the heater core. The temperature sensing part is located in a section from an inlet of the heater core path through an inlet of the bypass path to an outlet of the bypass path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】サーモスタット及び開閉弁が閉状態であっても、エンジンを通過した直後での冷却水の温度の検出精度の低下が抑制されたエンジンの冷却装置を提供する。【解決手段】ウォータポンプから、エンジン、ラジエータ、サーモスタットの順に冷却水が循環する第1経路と、ウォータポンプから、エンジン、開閉弁、ヒータコア、サーモスタットの順に冷却水が循環し、エンジン内で第1経路の一部と合流しておりエンジン内で第1経路から分岐した第2経路と、冷却水の温度を検出する感温部を有した水温センサと、を備え、第2経路は、エンジンからヒータコアに連通したヒータコア経路と、ヒータコアからサーモスタットに連通した戻り経路と、ヒータコア経路と戻り経路とを連通してヒータコアをバイパスしたバイパス経路と、を有し、感温部は、ヒータコア経路の入口からバイパス経路の入口を介してバイパス経路の出口までの区間内に位置している。【選択図】図2
