Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst carrying type hydrogen permeation membrane module which is excellent in durability and cost and of which the reaction efficiency can be improved.SOLUTION: A catalyst carrying type hydrogen permeation membrane module 11 according to the present invention has a porous supporter 12, a hydrogen separation metal layer 41 and a catalyst metal layer 43. The porous supporter 12 has, in the inside thereof, a plurality of pores 34 making a surface 17 and a rear surface 16 communicate with each other. The hydrogen separation metal layer 41 is formed while supported on the surface 17 of the porous supporter 12. The hydrogen separation metal layer 41 selectively permeates hydrogen in hydrogen-containing gas G1 flowing from the rear surface 16 to the surface 17 and hydrogen in the hydrogen gas G1 flowing the surface 17 to the rear surface 16.
