Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for electrical component in which the number of guide members which guide electrical components into openings is reduced in housing electrical components into openings of a component guide block, and which is made applicable to small-sized electrical components.SOLUTION: A socket for electrical component has: a support block 1 provided with a through-hole 6 for supporting a probe pin; a plurality of probe pins which are fixed while being inserted into through-holes of the support block, and electrically connect connection terminals of electrical components arranged on one surface side of the support block and connection parts of a wiring board provided for the other surface side; a component guide block 3 which is provided on one surface side of the support block, and has a rectangular opening 8 housing the electrical components; roller guides 4 which are provided for a peripheral edge of the opening of the component guide block, come into contact with two sides of at least one corner part of an electrical component, and guide the electrical component into the opening while rotating; and pressing means which energizes the roller guide toward the center of the opening, and positions the electrical component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】電気部品を部品ガイドブロックの開口部に収容する際に、開口部内に電気部品を案内する案内部材の数を減少すると共に、小型の電気部品にも対応可能とする。【解決手段】プローブピンを支持するための貫通孔6が設けられた支持ブロック1と、該支持ブロックの貫通孔内に挿入して固定され、前記支持ブロックの一面側に配置される電気部品の接続端子及び他面側に設けられる配線基板の接続部を電気的に接続する複数のプローブピンと、前記支持ブロックの一面側に設けられ、前記電気部品を収容する矩形状の開口部8を有する部品ガイドブロック3と、該部品ガイドブロックの開口部の周縁に設けられ、前記電気部品の少なくとも1つのコーナー部の2辺に当接し、回転しながら前記開口部内に電気部品を案内するローラーガイド4と、該ローラーガイドを前記開口部の中心部に向けて付勢し、前記電気部品を位置決めする押圧手段とを有して成る。【選択図】図1
