Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a physical load acting on an electrode body uniform while suppressing deformation or breakage of a spacer when assembled.SOLUTION: A power storage element 10 includes an electrode body 400 formed by winding an electrode plate, a container 100 for accommodating the electrode body 400, and a spacer (side spacer 700) interposed between the container 100 and the electrode body 400. The container 100 has an opening 112 in which the electrode body 400 and the spacer are inserted. The spacer includes a wall portion 710 which extends along the insertion direction for the opening 112 and covers one side portion of the electrode body 400, and a plate portion (top plate 721) extending in a direction intersecting with the insertion direction from the wall portion 710.
