Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting and removing frost formed on an evaporator and a method for controlling it.SOLUTION: An evaporator 10 includes: a cooling fin 12 connected to a refrigerant pipe 11 in which a refrigerant circulates and for performing heat exchange; a support bracket 13 for supporting the refrigerant pipe 11; and a defrosting heater 14 for supplying heat for removing the frost formed on the refrigerant pipe 11. A defrosting device 100 for evaporator includes: a light emitting part 120 for radiating light toward the cooling fin 12 provided at one side of the evaporator 10; a sensor part 130 for detecting the amount of light reflected at the cooling fin 12; and a control part (not shown) for controlling ON/OFF of the defrosting heater 14 based on the detected value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】蒸発器に着霜した霜を検知して除去する装置とそれを制御する方法を提供する。
