PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silica nanoparticles having excellent dispersion stability when dispersed in a dispersion medium and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of silica nanoparticles, wherein nano silica particles in which a bond network of atoms is formed of at least silicon atoms, oxygen atoms and carbon atoms, and these atoms are covalently bonded as constituent elements of the bond network, and an organosiloxane compound having a carbon structure part at a terminal of a molecular chain and a silane compound are polycondensated to manufacture silica nanoparticles in which an organosiloxane component having a carbon structure part at a terminal of a molecular chain and a siloxane component are bonded by a siloxane bond.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】分散媒に分散させた場合に分散安定性が優れるシリカナノ粒子、及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】原子の結合ネットワークが、少なくとも、ケイ素原子、酸素原子及び炭素原子からなり、これらの原子が結合ネットワークの構成原子として共有結合してなる、ナノシリカ粒子、及び分子鎖末端に炭素構造部を有するオルガノシロキサン化合物とシラン化合物とを縮重合し、分子鎖末端に炭素構造部を有するオルガノシロキサン成分とシロキサン成分とがシロキサン結合により結合したシリカナノ粒子を製造する、シリカナノ粒子の製造方法。【選択図】図１
