Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the force applied to a plate frame of a screen printing plate in the plate releasing operation of the screen printing plate from a printing object medium in screen printing.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a plate releasing device 50 of a screen printing apparatus 10. The plate releasing device 50 includes: a drive unit 28 which moves a screen printing plate in a second direction D2 substantially orthogonal to a first direction D1 on a first end 18a side of the screen printing plate 18 in the first direction where a squeegee 22 moves when screen printing is executed; a rotation shaft regulation unit 54 which is configured to set the rotation shaft of the screen printing plate on a second end 18b side of the screen printing plate in the first direction D1; and a rotation permission unit 52 which is configured to permit the screen printing plate to move around the rotation shaft when the drive unit moves the first end side of the screen printing plate.
