Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine unit for improving its exhaust emission control function by enhancing the accuracy of detecting oxygen from a single-cylinder engine, and to provide a vehicle.SOLUTION: The engine unit includes an upstream oxygen detection member arranged in an upstream exhaust passage from an exhaust port of the single-cylinder four-stroke engine to the upstream end of a main catalyst so that exhaust gas exhausted only from a single combustion chamber of the single-cylinder four-stroke engine passes through a detection part, a downstream oxygen detection member arranged in a downstream pipe for the exhaust gas to flow therethrough downstream from the downstream end of the main catalyst so that the exhaust gas exhausted only from the single combustion chamber of the single-cylinder four-stroke engine passes through a detection part, and a control part for performing combustion control of the single-cylinder four-stroke engine on the basis of the detection result of the upstream oxygen detection member and the detection result of the downstream oxygen detection member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】単気筒エンジンで酸素検出精度を高め、排ガスの浄化機能を向上させるエンジンユニットおよび乗り物を提供する。【解決手段】このエンジンユニットは、単気筒4ストロークエンジンの排気ポートからメイン触媒の上流端までの上流排気通路に配置され、単気筒4ストロークエンジンの単一の燃焼室のみから排出された排ガスが検出部を通過する上流酸素検出部材と、メイン触媒の下流端から下流に排ガスを流す下流配管に配置され、単気筒4ストロークエンジンの単一の燃焼室のみから排出された排ガスが検出部を通過する下流酸素検出部材と、上流酸素検出部材の検出結果および下流酸素検出部材の検出結果に基づいて単気筒4ストロークエンジンの燃焼制御を行う制御部と、を備える構成を採る。【選択図】図1
