Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure design method or the like enabling a damping material composed of a composite material to be suitably installed in a structure such as a vertical tail.SOLUTION: The structure design method is provided that is used for installing, as a damping material, a composite material including polyarylate fiber and resin in a structure such as a vertical tail. The structure design method comprises: a step S3 of analyzing design performance when installing the composite materials at a plurality of divided installation areas; a step S4 of selecting the divided installation areas based on the analysis result; a step S6 of analyzing design performance by differentiating lamination position of the composite material in a depthwise direction of the structure; a step S7 of selecting the lamination positions based the analysis result; a step S9 of analyzing design performance by differentiating fiber direction of the polyarylate fiber included in the composite material; a step S10 of selecting the fiber direction based on the analysis result; and a step S12 of determining whether the design performance of the structure derived from the design parameters selected by respective selection steps satisfies the required performance required for the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】複合材からなる制振材を、垂直尾翼等の構造体に好適に設置できる構造体の設計方法等を提供する。【解決手段】ポリアリレート系繊維と樹脂とを含む複合材を制振材として垂直尾翼等の構造体に設置するための構造体の設計方法であって、複数の分割設置領域に複合材を設置したときの設計性能を解析する工程S3と、解析結果に基づき分割設置領域を選定する工程S4と、構造体の厚み方向における複合材の積層位置を異ならせて設計性能を解析する工程S6と、解析結果に基づき積層位置を選定する工程S7と、複合材に含まれるポリアリレート系繊維の繊維方向を異ならせて設計性能を解析する工程S9と、解析結果に基づき繊維方向を選定する工程S10と、各選定工程で選定された設計パラメータから導出される構造体の設計性能が、構造体に要求される要求性能を満足するかを判定する工程S12とを備える。【選択図】図3
