Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that prevents a situation in which unpleasant feeling is imparted to a driver in a travel control device for a vehicle, which is able to perform both inter-vehicle distance control with acceleration function and traffic lane change assistance.SOLUTION: A travel control device 100 for a vehicle comprises an inter-vehicle distance control part 21 and a traffic lane change assisting part 22. An inter-vehicle distance control part 21 exerts inter-vehicle distance control such that the inter-vehicle distance between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle becomes equal to a set inter-vehicle distance. When a winker operation is performed during inter-vehicle distance control, the inter-vehicle distance control part 21 performs passing acceleration control to pass the preceding vehicle when a predetermined standby time has elapsed.
