Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element capable of simultaneously capturing a color image and a near-infrared image.SOLUTION: An imaging element 100 includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion units 40 which are formed on a substrate and arranged in an array, and upon which light is incident via a dual pass filter 70 that has a transmission band in visible light and near-infrared light in a prescribed range. The photoelectric conversion units include a photoelectric conversion unit for visible light and a photoelectric conversion unit for near-infrared light.
