Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable image tremor correction device.SOLUTION: An image tremor correction device comprises: a stationary frame 22; a movable frame 14 that holds an optical lens 14a; a support member 31 that movably supports the movable frame with respect to the stationary frame in an in-plane orthogonal to an optical axis of the optical lens; a drive unit 25 that includes magnets 27x and 27y as well as coils 26x and 26y to drive the movable frame with respect to the stationary frame; control units 50x and 50y that perform drive control of the drive unit; a position detection unit 57 that detects a position of the movable frame in the in-plane; and a judgement unit 59 that when the control unit performs the drive control so as to move the movable frame to a prescribed target position, detects a deviation between the position of the movable frame to be detected by the position detection unit and the prescribed target position and judges whether the image tremor correction device 20 normally operates on the basis of whether the deviation falls within a first allowance range.
