Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type continuously variable transmission which can drive a pulley by appropriately converting turning force of a motor into thrust force of a screw shaft and has a simple structure with a small number of components.SOLUTION: In a belt type continuously variable transmission, a ball joint 13 comprises: a joint housing 25 which is installed on a screw shaft 19; and a ball stud 26 which is extended from an arm 12 and swingably supported by the joint housing 25. The ball stud 26 has: a ball shaft section 26a which has a spherical outer periphery; and a cylindrical shaft section 26b which is coaxially arranged with the ball shaft section 26a with a smaller diameter than the ball shaft section 26a and has a cylindrical outer periphery. The joint housing 25 has: a ball support face 25a which the ball shaft section 26a is fitted thereinto; and a stopper face 25b which limits a turning angle of the screw shaft 19 around an axial line X1 to a constant angle α with the same brought into contact with an outer peripheral face 26b' of the cylindrical shaft section 26b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】モータの回転力をねじ軸の推力に的確に変換してプーリを駆動することができ、且つ部品点数が少なくて構造も簡便なベルト式無段変速機を提供する。【解決手段】ボールジョイント13は、ねじ軸19に設けられるジョイントハウジング25と、アーム12から延びてジョイントハウジング25に揺動可能に支持されるボールスタッド26とを有し、ボールスタッド26には、球状の外周面を有するボール軸部26aと、それと同軸でボール軸部26aの直径よりも小径且つ円筒状の外周面を有する円筒軸部26bとを設け、ジョイントハウジング25には、ボール軸部26aが嵌入されるボール支持面25aと、円筒軸部26bの外周面26b′に当接してねじ軸19の軸線X1周りの回転角度を一定角度αに規制するストッパ面25bとを設けた。【選択図】 図3
