Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-assemble optical transmitter that can achieve high optical coupling efficiency, while reducing the cost by reducing the member of components.SOLUTION: Each of multiple lens units has a lens for condensing the laser light outputted from a laser light source, and a support provided with a convex guide for supporting the lens unit. A carrier substrate has a first principal surface for mounting multiple laser light sources, a step surface for supporting the multiple lens units, and a second principal surface for mounting an optical multiplexer. A concave guide is provided in at least one of the step surface and second principal surface.
