Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to improve power supply efficiency.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of loads with specified load power; a plurality of power supplies with specified rated power; and a control unit for switching a plurality of operation modes in which at least one of the loads operates. The control unit selects one or more power supplies from among the above power supplies according to the operation mode, and connects at least one load operating in the operation mode to the one or more power supplies.
