Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal device capable of achieving compatibility between OTA and SAR in all of different regions in low cost without deteriorating transmission and reception performance.SOLUTION: A control circuit 19 receives country information and transmission power information transmitted from a base station, and sets a transmission power value to the base station based on the received transmission power information. The control circuit 19 sets "high (23 dBm)" to the upper limit value of the transmission power value when the received country information is information relating to a country other than a pre-specified country, or when the received country information is information related to the pre-specified country, a receiver 13 is operating and a proximity sensor 14 detects an approaching human body head portion, and sets "low (19 dBm)" to the upper limit value of the transmission power value when the received country information is information related to a pre-specified country and the receiver 13 is not operating, or the proximity sensor 14 does not detect an approaching human body head portion although the receiver 13 is operating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】低コストで、且つ送受信性能を悪化させることなく、異なる地域の全てにおいてOTAとSARの両立を図ることができる携帯通信端末装置を提供する。【解決手段】制御回路19は、基地局から送信された国情報及び送信電力情報を受信し、受信した送信電力情報に基づき、基地局への送信電力値を設定する。また、制御回路19は、受信した国情報が予め特定された国以外に関する情報の場合、又は、受信した国情報が予め特定された国に関する情報で且つレシーバ13が動作し且つ近接センサ14が近接した人体頭部を検出した場合には「高(23dBm)」を送信電力値の上限値とし、受信した国情報が予め特定された国に関する情報で且つレシーバ13が動作していない、又は、レシーバ13が動作しているものの近接センサ14が近接した人体頭部を検出しなかった場合には「低(19dBm)」を送信電力値の上限値とする。【選択図】図2
