Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multi-dimensional correction appropriately according to the magnitude relation of a user machine, a standard machine, and the gamut of a target.SOLUTION: A controller includes a RIP processing section performing multi-dimensional correction for correcting the hue value of a user machine to that of a standard machine by using a LUT of 3 or more dimension, and color conversion for converting the hue value of the standard machine into that of a target. A control section creates a first correction LUT of output color where turbidity removal of secondary color is turned OFF for each input color and a second correction LUT of output color where turbidity removal of secondary color is turned ON for each input color, compares the saturation of secondary color solid of the user machine, standard machine and target, instructs multi-dimensional correction by specifying the second correction LUT, when the hue value of the user machine is larger than that of the standard machine, instructs multi-dimensional correction by specifying the second correction LUT, when the hue value of the target is larger than that of the user machine, and instructs multi-dimensional correction by specifying the first correction LUT, when the hue value of the target is smaller than that of the standard machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
【課題】ユーザー機、標準機、ターゲットの色域の大小関係に応じて、適切に多次元補正を実施する。【解決手段】コントローラは、3以上の多次元のLUTを用いてユーザー機の色彩値を標準機の色彩値に補正する多次元補正と、標準機の色彩値をターゲットの色彩値に変換する色変換と、を行うRIP処理部を備え、制御部は、各入力色に対して2次色の濁り除去をOFFにした出力色の第1の補正LUTと各入力色に対して2次色の濁り除去をONにした出力色の第2の補正LUTとを作成し、ユーザー機と標準機とターゲットの2次色ベタの彩度を比較し、ユーザー機の彩度が標準機の彩度よりも大きい場合において、ターゲットの彩度がユーザー機の彩度よりも大きい場合は、第2の補正LUTを指定して多次元補正を指示し、ターゲットの彩度が標準機の彩度よりも小さい場合は、第1の補正LUTを指定して多次元補正を指示する。【選択図】図7 |
