Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device for meter reading of a meter reading system that avoids a risk of a leak of personal information caused by a loss of a terminal device for meter reading carried by a meter reading worker.SOLUTION: A portable device 4 for meter reading carried by a meter reading worker during meter reading includes: a management terminal 8 as a unit having a function of a terminal device for meter reading such as a conventionally generally used handy terminal for meter reading; and a meter reading machine 9 as a unit only for collecting information of a meter reading value or the like from a gas meter 6 in a non-contact. The meter reading machine 9 is made to have, as information required for identifying a gas meter 6, only minimum necessary information (minimum information 70) including no personal information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】検針作業者が携帯する検針用端末装置の紛失に起因する個人情報などの漏洩の危険性を回避できるようにした検針システムの検針用携帯装置を提供すること。【解決手段】検針作業者が検針時に携帯する検針用携帯装置4は、従来において一般的に使用されている検針用ハンディターミナルなどの検針用端末装置の機能を担う部分である管理端末8と、非接触でガスメータ6から検針値等の情報を収集することに特化した部分である検針機9に分けている。検針機9にはガスメータ6を識別するために必要な情報として、個人情報を含まない必要最小限の情報(最小限情報70)しか持たせないようにしている。【選択図】図2
