PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted image display device having a lightweight and simple structure, which stably holds an image display module for projecting image light onto a user's eye.SOLUTION: The head-mounted image display device of the present invention includes an image display unit for projecting image light onto a user's eye, and a head band part where the image display unit is detachably attached at an observation position in front of the user's eye. The head band part includes an elastically deformable head band made of a thin plate having a first width and extending in an arch form along the head circumference, and a connection receptacle on at least one end side face of the head band to fix a connecting member of the image display unit. The head band has a fixing part in each of both ends and an occipital region.
