Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal composition that is capable of improving the prognosis after the return of spontaneous circulation even after the elapse of a considerably long period of time after the return of spontaneous circulation.SOLUTION: A gaseous medicinal composition for improving the prognosis after the return of spontaneous circulation is for a human subject after the elapse of at least 30 minutes after the return of spontaneous circulation following at least 10 minutes of cardiorespiratory arrest. The medicinal composition according to the present invention contains hydrogen gas and is characterized in that human patients dosed with the medicinal composition show better prognosis after the return of spontaneous circulation than human patients not dosed with the medicinal composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
